Helping Furrs

Policy

Terms & conditions

Short, fair and readable. By using this website or donating, you agree to the terms below.

Effective 15 October 2026 · Version 1.0

These terms govern your use of helpingfurrs.org (the "website") operated by Helping Furrs ("we", "us"), an animal welfare initiative of the registered charitable organisation named in the footer of this website. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.

1. Using the website

You may use the website for lawful purposes only. In particular, you agree not to:

  • break any applicable law or regulation, or use the website to harm another person or animal;
  • submit false rescue reports, fake donations or misleading information through our forms;
  • attempt to access accounts, servers or data you are not authorised to access, or to interfere with the site's security or performance;
  • scrape, copy or republish content from the website without our written permission;
  • impersonate Helping Furrs, its team, or any other person.

2. Donations

  • Donations made through the website are voluntary charitable contributions. They are not payments for goods or services, and no product, membership or guaranteed outcome is provided in return.
  • We use donations for animal welfare activities such as rescue, treatment, feeding, sterilisation, vaccination, shelter, adoption support and the operating costs that make that work possible. Where you select a purpose, we honour it wherever practical; if a specific need is fully met, we may redirect funds to the next most urgent need.
  • Donations are non-refundable except as set out in our Donation & refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
  • Receipts are issued by the registered entity named in the footer. Tax benefits under Section 80G depend on the law in force and your own circumstances; we cannot give tax advice.

3. Rescue reports and volunteering

We respond to rescue reports as quickly as our volunteers and resources allow, but we cannot guarantee attendance at every location or a particular outcome for any animal. Volunteers and fosterers act at their own discretion and must follow the safety guidance we provide.

4. Content and intellectual property

The Helping Furrs name, logos, illustrations, photographs and text on this website belong to us or our licensors. You may share links to our pages freely. Any other reproduction requires written permission.

5. Third-party services

Payments are processed by third-party gateways under their own terms. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

6. No warranties

The website is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Helping Furrs and the registered entity behind it are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the website. Our total liability for any claim connected with the website will not exceed the amount of your most recent donation, if any.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Ajmer, Rajasthan, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to applicable law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Using the website after an update means you accept the new terms.
